Texas Response to Bonus Depreciation

The provisions of the federal Job Creation and Worker Assistance Act of 2002 (P.L. 107-147) (JCWAA) have no effect for Texas franchise tax purposes because franchise tax is calculated based on the IRC of 1986 in effect for the tax year beginning January 1, 1996, and before January 1, 1997.
