The 18th Annual FTA Technology Conference and Exhibition will be held August 11-14, 2002, in Louisville, Kentucky at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. FTA is seeking state agency, federal, general electronic commerce, tax service provider and other private sector presentations related to the application of technologies that enable improvements in tax administration.
This Call for Presentations provides an excellent opportunity for you to ensure that tax authorities and the private sector are aware of exemplary efforts and programs that your agency or business organization has developed. This bulletin details particular areas in which presentations are sought, but we also desire solicit your recommendations for other good speakers on interesting topics. If you wish to be a part of making the Conference a success, we would like to have your suggestions and submissions by February 28, 2002.
The Conference will be designed to meet the needs of a wide range of tax administrators involved in the development and administration of technology applications. It should benefit both relatively new employees as well as mid- and senior-level personnel with considerable experience. The sessions will also provide an opportunity for private sector personnel to acquaint themselves with a wide range of state technology initiatives underway. Members of the private sector are invited to attend to learn about various state initiatives and to meet their counterparts. A few sessions will be government only.
NOTE: Speakers are prohibited from actively offering services or soliciting services during their remarks at FTA Conferences. The solution to issues you may present cannot be your proprietary product alone; multiple solutions should be reviewed. All speakers will be provided additional guidelines on this topic.
