With the economy playing havoc with state tax collections, Tax/Revenue Department Economists should plan to attend the FTA Revenue Estimation and Tax Research Conference. It will be held September 19-22, at the Sun Valley Conference Center in Idaho.

The conference provides a forum for state economists to discuss in an informal setting what is happening in their state and how it compares with others. The program is packed full of presentations which will help states navigate the uncertain economic future and create new opportunities for Revenue Enhancers. Hotel Reservations should be made by August 4th, to be assured a room at the conference rate. Reservations will be considered on a space available basis after that date.
