The Federation of Tax Administrators is sponsoring the 2008 Electronic Filing Symposium May 3-6, in San Diego, California at the Doubletree Mission Valley Hotel. All individuals interested in individual income tax electronic filing are encouraged to attend, as well as those concerned with electronic filing of business taxes. There also will be an FTA 2D Barcode Standards meeting to which government and industry attendees are invited.
The FTA-Free File Best Practices Advisory Group will also conduct their meeting at this event. All attendees are welcome to attend this working-group meeting to learn more about this group and current and future developments.
Registration for the Symposium will begin on Sunday afternoon, May 3 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a special state-only meeting of e-filing coordinators on Sunday. The regular program begins Monday at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude by noon on Wednesday.
