The Federation of Tax Administrators is sponsoring the 2008 Electronic Filing Symposium April 27-30, in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Millennium Hotel Minneapolis. All individuals interested in individual income tax electronic filing are encouraged to attend, as well as those concerned with electronic filing of business taxes. Among the topics discussed will be the process established under the IRS’s Modernized E-File program for development of new Fed-State E-file programs such as 1120, 1065, and 1040. Presentations are now available.
There also will be a side meeting of the FTA TAG on April 30-May 1, to which government attendees are invited.
Registration for the Symposium will begin on Sunday afternoon, April 27, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a special state-only meeting of e-filing coordinators beginning at 4 p.m. on Sunday. The regular program begins Monday at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude by noon on Wednesday.
