Local Arrangements
The FTA 2003 meeting in Oklahoma City is your opportunity to enjoy the warmth and friendliness for which Oklahoma is known and at the same time to learn about the Traditions of the Heartland. Sunday evening attendees will be treated to an Opening Reception filled with smooth jazzy musical notes and a variety of hors d’oeuvres with a Southwestern flair. Monday evening is left free for participants to enjoy the many amenities of Oklahoma City. Tuesday evening turns back the clock as conference attendees have dinner at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Buses will be available to shuttle attendees and guests to the museum from 5 to 7 p.m. Return buses to the hotel will run until 10 p.m.

Those arriving on Saturday can take in America’s favorite pastime, baseball. The Oklahoma City AAA Redhawks will take on the Nashville Sounds at “The Brick,” located in Bricktown, Oklahoma City’s renovated warehouse district just a few blocks from the conference hotel.

Guests of meeting attendees will be able to select from various tour opportunities during their stay in Oklahoma City. Featured tours include the Oklahoma City Art Museum, Cole’s Garden, shopping in the antique stores of historic Guthrie (Oklahoma’s first capital city), and the Sam Noble History Museum located on the University of Oklahoma campus in Norman, Oklahoma.
