Key Concept - Conversion

• The migration and manipulation of data from the legacy system(s) to the destination system

• Conversion encompasses:

  • the clean up of data in preparation for migration
  • the manipulation of data migrated from legacy data model to destination data model
  • the verification of the migration performed

Tip: Conversion is not programming it is analysis
