Agenda
The program agenda is being planned to help state economists navigate the uncertain political and economic climate of today. The agenda will include presentations for forecasters, estimators, and tax analysts doing a wide variety of jobs. A preliminary program is available. [note, agenda is subject to change]
Key Note Speaker
Bill Fox, University of Tennessee, will be our luncheon speaker addressing the the complex world of State Corporate Taxes.
For the Forecasters
Many key economists will be making presentations on where they see the economy heading. Nigel Gault, IHS Global Insights; and Steven Cochrane, Moody's Economy.com will give the latest updates to their national and regional economic forecasts. Several industry economists will talk about the trends and outlook for specific industries. And don't forget the state discussions on revenue forecasting techinques and how to improve your forecasts.
For Estimators and Analysts
Once again, FTA will join forces with the National Tax Association to leverage the accademic communities expertise in better understanding and evaluating good tax policy. The Joint FTA/NTA session will focus on the Sensitivity of Wealthy and Businesses to State Tax Differences.
