2010 FTA Technology Conference and Exhibition

August 1-4, 2010 • Grand Hyatt Buckhead • Atlanta , GA 30305

Your suggestions are appreciated; we also desire your recommendations for good speakers you have heard on topics interesting to tax administrators. If you wish to be a part of making the Conference a success, we would like to have your suggestions and submissions by April 22, 2010.

FTA is seeking state agency, federal, general electronic commerce, tax service provider and other private-sector presentations related to the application of technologies that enable improvements in tax administration. Multiple or alternative submissions are welcomed.

Positive factors given consideration in our speaker selection process:

  • Remarks describing already implemented (not planned) government revenue technologies or improved processes
  • State experience(s) using technology featuring before/after comparative information (metrics, ROI, etc. if possible)
  • Individual remarks or panels that review multiple-state experiences with a specific technology (including comparatives across states)
  • Reviews of applicable broader government or industry technical or regulatory developments or trends (i.e. in payments, telephony, wireless, XML and other standards progress, IT security developments etc.)
  • Updates that deliver substantial and significant new information on previously-presented applications
  • Newer technologies not yet in use, but that have significant potential to improve tax and revenue processes or operations
  • If vendor-suggested, remarks that include a state co-presenter
  • Previous compliance with FTA Guidelines on session etiquette and room arrangements/assignments

If you have new developments that you would like considered for presentation, please submit them by April 22, 2010. Submissions can be emailed to Jonathan Lyon, FAXed (202) 624-7888, or submitted online. Please include your e-mail address.
