In addition to a lifetime as a touring musician, he has been one of the country’s premier studio musicians for more than 50 years. You can find the special Johnny Gimble sound on recordings by artists as diverse as Willie Nelson, Paul McCartney, Loretta Lynn, Joan Baez and Jimmy Buffet.
