The Electronic Commerce Best Practices guide was handed out for review. The floor was open for comments to modify the ECBP guide to prepare it for FTA Board Presentation in September. We appreciate everyone's participation in this effort.
There was discussion of a preliminary agenda for our Trimester meeting in Cincinnati, OH for October 2-5, 2000. It is as follows:

Standardization (TIGERS)
There was a TaXML Presentation given by Lesley Anderson and Peter Horsburgh of Microsoft which included copies of XML schemas, DTDs, and XSL documents. A walkthrough of T/S 813 was done to show Lesley and Peter how we associate it with an Income Tax Form.
Sherrill Alexander gave a Motor Fuel Presentation (Version 4010) for Texas assisted by Jim Duke and Brooks Knight.
Stuart Beagles of the Montana Department of Transportation gave a Motor Fuel Presentation (Version 4030) assisted by Tim Blevins of the Kansas Department of Revenue.
Friday, August 18, 2000 -- Tax Information Group for EDI Requirements
Standardization (TIGERS)
There was a review of T/S 283 as it is currently. Then we reviewed Stan Farmer's and Gus Wing's version of the T/S 283 in EDI translated to XML. Gus Wing presented the translated version and discussion followed.
Lesley Anderson of Microsoft was asked to return to our meeting in Cincinnati, OH, to help us better translate our EDI format to XML and to better understand how XML operates.
