The ASC X12/TIGERS XML Standards Group Meeting is scheduled to take place at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee March 25-26, 2003.

These working sessions will be solely devoted to work on a uniform approach to XML-based sales and use tax reporting developed and promoted by state and industry participants in the Streamlined Sales Tax Project (http://www.geocities.com/streamlined2000/).

REGISTRATION FEE

There will be no meeting registration fee for this TIGERS Interim Meeting. However, future meetings will feature a nominal charge.

(NOTE: There will also be a May 8-9, 2003 TIGERS meeting covering Federal-State Employment Tax [FSET] XML standards in Indianapolis, IN, following the FTA E-file Symposium. Details will be provided on that meeting soon.)

The meeting will be held at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel, located at 611 Commerce Street. A block of rooms has been set aside for Tuesday and Wednesday nights (March 25-26). The rate is $95 single or double plus tax.

The cut-off for making reservations is on or before Monday, March 3, 2003. The fax number for the hotel is 615-255-8163.

The hotel is in downtown Music City USA and is about nine miles from the airport. There are taxis or the Downtown Shuttle Express for transportation from the airport. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the Old Ryman Auditorium (original home of the Grand Ole Opry), the new Country Music Hall of Fame, Gaylord Entertainment Center (home of the NHL Predators), Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, and 2nd Avenue, with a variety of eating establishments.
